North Carolina Video Lottery Terminal Market

Currently, North Carolina is considering legislation to allow video lottery terminals (VLTs) in licensed establishments. Should the state approve regulated VLTs, you will want to be prepared to take advantage of the opportunity. There is no better way to do just that than by partnering with our gaming terminal operator. Current legislation will allow for three VLTs per licensed location and may allow up to three additional VLTs per location upon a net machine revenue benchmark. Truck stops can operate up to 10 of these machines.
Potential Gaming Revenue from VLTs
Should the state approve regulated VLTs, the current revenue profit and distribution will be as follows. Profits from VLTs are calculated using a simple equation of cash wagered minus credits won, which equates to net terminal income (NTI). NTI is the actual revenue generated through gameplay. The current proposed NTI will then be divided as follows:
The State – 40%
Terminal Operator – 30%
Location – 30%
That means a location can expect to make between $36,135* to $144,540* per year in additional revenue at no cost to you. See the mathematical breakdown to find out how it could look for you:
$50 Hold Per Day
X 6 Machines
X 365 Days
= $36,135 Total Revenue Per Year
$100 Hold Per Day
X 6 Machines
X 365 Days
X 33%
= $72,270 Total Revenue Per Year
$200 Hold Per Day
X 6 Machines
X 365 Days
X 33%
= $144,540 Total Revenue Per Year
